Our Story

The Sleep Center in Fort Walton Beach, FL opened its doors to the public in 1997 at the direction of Michael Herlihy, and by following the traditions of the earlier stores, it quickly became the area's most trusted specialty sleep shop. Soon after, he would build a new store in Miramar Beach, Florida to better serve the Emerald Coast through two locations.

Local Ownership

Michael Herlihy recognizes all of the Emerald Coast as his home. He is an avid fisherman and lives in Walton County, FL along with his family. He is well-established in the community and cares passionately about the Emerald Coast's success as a whole. You can often find the Herlihy family enjoying the outdoors or attending a community event or charity function.

As the operator of this locally-owned family business since 1997, Michael spends his time in a positive way and believes in paying it forward and giving back to help others succeed in life, too.
